Product launch: TEARS AGAIN® Complete
The diagnosis and differentiation of the various forms of dry eye is offered by many oculists and eye clinics. This is very helpful for the selection of right products and therapies.
With the new combination pack TEARS AGAIN® Complete, Optima Pharmazeutische offers a practical solution.
The combined use of the included eye spray and eye drops provides moisturisation and protection for all layers of the tear film, effectively relieving both forms of dry eye.
Why two products?
Since it is well known that water and lipids cannot be permanently mixed together, these tear film components must be supplied separately, as it is physiologically done by the meibomian and lacrimal glands.
The liposomal Eye Spray stabilises the protective lipid layer of the tear film so that evaporation of the tear fluid is minimised. By using the eye spray, lipid substitution occurs through the lid margin as it naturally happens with the meibomian glands.
The Eye Drops with hyaluronic acid 0.3% supplement the aqueous-mucinous layer of the tear film, forming a uniform moisturizing film on the surface of the eye.
TEARS AGAIN® Complete Eye Spray and Eye Drops do not contain preservatives and can be applied as needed.

The BVDA (Bundesverband Deutscher Apotheker e.V.) and the trade magazine "Der Deutsche Apotheker" publish in Frankfurt their "Handbuch zur Empfehlungshäufigkeit von OTC-Produkten" (Handbook on the Recommendation Frequency of OTC Products).
In the category "Recommendation frequency of products against eyelid inflammation and for eyelid margin care", BlephaCura® was awarded first place of eyelid care products in the recommendations of pharmacists and PTAs.
In the section "Recommendation frequency of lipid-containing tear preparations", TEARS AGAIN® Eye Spray is chosen as study winner of lipid-containing tear supplements.
